Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Whoa, where has that girl been?

Yep, she's been missing in action around here since May 10.

(Ok, I'll stop talking about myself in the third person.)

Hey friends, good to be back, if only for a brief post.  What has kept me so busy for the last 15 days has been some work, and the Live.Life.Wonderful. ecourse.  I'm so very much enjoying the interaction of the participants in our private FB group.  Good stuff being shared by all.  It will be a little sad when it wraps up on the 30th, but who knows, maybe another round will be offered in the fall.

Here's a little look at what else I've been up to:

Took Hugo for a hike on Mother's Day.  In the absence of my human son, I spent the day with my canine child.

Headed to Denver to meet my friend Stacey and some of her family. Stacey and I have been friends online for about two years, but had not met in person yet. She lives close in Wyoming so hopefully we'll get to see lots more of each other.  She makes some pretty awesome body + bath products and designs jewelry. Check her site out here- http://www.starhitchedwagon.com/

Bought some plants for my patio. It makes it feel more like home. Now the trick is to keep them alive!

The tulips in Boulder in May are stunning, and everywhere. I couldn't resist taking lots of pictures on my walks with Hugo. They are fading now, but boy what a show they put on.

And I got back on my bike and have been taking a short ride around the open space that is right by my house. On the day I took this picture, I could not get over the vivid green grass in contrast to the blue sky and white clouds. Makes a girl feel great to be alive.

I've got a full holiday weekend planned.  Hope you do to.  Make it a wonderful time with friends and family, nature and creativity.  And make sure to pause a moment to remember all of our service men and women.  Past, present and those that will serve in the future.
